POSITION SUMMARY:

 

We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented MAOP Reconfirmation Program Manager based in our Colorado office, to lead and oversee our Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) compliance program. This position is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational integrity, and safety across our pipeline system. The MAOP Reconfirmation Program Manager will develop, implement, and maintain processes to verify, document, and sustain MAOP in alignment with federal and state regulations, including PHMSA requirements.

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and execution of the MAOP Reconfirmation compliance program, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage MAOP Reconfirmation verification processes, including data analysis, record reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee the integration and validation of pipeline documentation to support MAOP Reconfirmation compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, integrity management, and regulatory teams to maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs related to MAOP Reconfirmation compliance.
  • Identify and address gaps in documentation, pressure testing, or materials records to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and timely submission of compliance documentation to regulatory agencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance MAOP Reconfirmation verification and documentation processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to MAOP Reconfirmation compliance.

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pipeline operations, integrity management, or regulatory compliance within the natural gas or energy industry.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES 

  • In-depth knowledge of PHMSA regulations (49 CFR Part 192), industry standards (API, ASME, etc.), and pipeline safety practices.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline materials, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and data integration.
  • Experience with GIS, pipeline records management, and regulatory reporting systems.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification.
  • Experience working with MAOP Reconfirmation and verification projects.
  • Familiarity with inline inspection (ILI) and other integrity assessment methods.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or program management role within a pipeline integrity or compliance team.  


Salary based on experience $75K to $125K USD
