General Summary

Oversee the collection of data required for accreditation and strategic planning activities. Compile data for statistical reports used by academic departments within the college, university administration, and external sources in forecasting, planning, budgeting, and assessing related programs. Manipulate and/or perform statistical analyses of prepared data, The data to be collected and analyzed includes, but is not limited to, organizational, student, faculty and staff, budgetary, financial and market information.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the data management activities for EMU's professional education unit.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the collection and accuracy of all institutional data, statistics, reports, and other information prepared for accreditation purposes, and/or released to various parties including the state and federal government.
  • Serve as liaison and resource to faculty for obtaining specific types of data for accreditation and/or program improvement.
  • Serve as the liaison to the departments within the college and to the university on issues of collection of data and report creation for purposes of accreditation and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the key contact for data requests and inquiries from offices within and outside the college.
  • Serve as liaison to EMU's office of IRIM to establish the most efficient and least duplicative methods for obtaining, storing, and utilizing data to meet the College of Education's need for many and varied data requests.
  • Represent the College of Education's Office of Academic Services in cross campus data management meetings.
  • Work with other PTs to continue data collection tools and implementation.
  • Coordinate hardware and software to meet the needs of data collection for the College of Education.
  • Perform related departmental duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of statistics, data collection, organization and processing, typically acquired through the completion of a Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience is necessary.

Four years related work experience is necessary.

Knowledge of models, processes and techniques used to develop a continuous improvement environment is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of teacher certification rules and licensure preferred.
