CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation Company, is looking for an Exhibit Specialist I to support the fabrication, finishing, and repair of Training Aids, Devices, and Simulators (TADSS). The successful candidate will work from drawings, blueprints, or illustrations—either customer-provided or internally developed—and may interact directly with customers to ensure accurate project execution.

The Exhibit Specialist will determine appropriate materials such as hardwood, softwood, plywood, metal, plastic, or concrete, and will utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and large equipment powered by battery, cord, or hydraulics to construct products per work requests. This role requires fundamental knowledge of tools such as drills, saws (manual, miter, circular, and band), hydraulic metal shears, hammers, clamps, nail guns, and rivet guns.

The pay rate for this position is $21.04/hr and $4.57 H&W benefit, This is a temporary position, duration 9 months until 31st March

Responsibilities:

  • Construct and fabricate TADSS based on provided or shop-generated schematics.

  • Apply finishes such as paint, varnish, or enamel by spray, brush, cloth, sponge, or hand to prepare structures for final assembly.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, materials, and equipment.

  • Request supplies as needed to support fabrication projects.

  • Keep workspaces organized and promote a safe, collaborative team environment.

  • Use and wear appropriate PPE in accordance with safety protocols.

  • Lift and carry up to 45 pounds safely and consistently.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Exhibit Specialist II or III.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Manual dexterity and basic mechanical or artistic aptitude.

  • Basic understanding of shop tools and construction techniques.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and apply basic math skills.

  • Willingness to learn device fabrication techniques.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
