We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

  • To assist the Training & Resourcing Manager in the planning and delivering of training courses to new and existing colleagues.
  • To improve performance and reduce H&S risk
  • To ensure full regulatory compliance and liaison with HSE, DfT and various enforcement agencies
  • Carry out assessments to ensure compliance Ensure training records are kept up to date
  • Liaise with Operational managers to ensure staff are available and then released for training courses without causing any disruption to the operation or safety
  • Flexibility to attend courses required by DHL and our customer in order to produce training courses and packages to implement to staff
  • Maintain knowledge and be kept up to date in relevant fields at all times
  • Forward thinking, forward planning and pro-activeness in the role

  • Considerable and substantial Aviation Ground Handling experience
  • Experience with Pushback and Headset
  • A good understanding, knowledge and experience of Ramp Operations
  • A good knowledge of DHL's safety policies and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of Airlines and Airport Authorities
  • Train the Trainer' certificate or Training qualification is desirable
  • Forward thinker and planner
  • Strong leadership and coaching with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate well at all levels
  • Strong team player
  • Proven development of a team and self
  • Well organised, self-starter and able to work on their own initiative
  • Uphold and promote a professional image at all times
  • Flexible
  • Good IT literacy with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel
  • The willingness to travel to attend courses, lectures, seminars etc

Security Process to work within Aviation and Travel at DHL

  • Be able to provide 5 years address history
  • Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
