Network Engineer - Military veterans preferred

Description

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to support mission-critical network operations. You'll be responsible for maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting outages, and assisting with security authorizations while contributing to a dynamic team environment at our customer location in Suitland, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and physical patching on unclassified, bi-lateral and multi-lateral environments.
• Monitor and resolve performance issues to ensure optimal network availability.
• Troubleshoot and isolate network outages, providing prompt event notifications.
• Assist with Authorizations To Operate (ATOs) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance escalations.
• Support departmental projects with technical expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience or a Master's degree and 2+ years of experience. Additional years of experience, trainings, or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline (e.g., Security+ CE) or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Active CCNA certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• CISCO configurations using EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN, NAT, GRE, IPSEC.
• Data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability remediation.
• OSI model and multi-protocol routing including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS.
