WHEDA is seeking an Account Executive to join our Single-Family Sales team. This position will be 100% remote servicing the Central and Northern region of Wisconsin. Must reside in or near the area they are servicing. Previous Industry experience highly preferred.

Our Account Executives (AE) are responsible for driving potential home buyers to our mortgage lender network and creating and implementing sales strategies across the regions throughout the state. AE’s provide superior customer service to our lender network and clients and trouble shoot issues daily. AE’s travel the state within their territory, promoting and training the lender network on WHEDA Single Family mortgage products and provide on-going account support and assistance.

SALARY: Hiring Range for this position is from $75,504 to $93,893 Annually. Offered Salary will be based on qualifications and internal pay equity. WHEDA provides a competitive salary and WHEDA employees participate in the State of Wisconsin benefit package which includes retirement, health insurance and deferred compensation programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Participates in a strategic account planning process, including intentional and effective lender management and onboarding. Sets benchmarks and sales goals or specific sales territory, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of sales activities and goal completion.
  • Promotes and implements WHEDA’s single family affordable housing programs, new products, services, policies, and procedures (within an assigned geographical territory) Provides training to lending partners, consumers, and outside agencies. Attend trade industry events in representation of the Authority.
  • Creates and maintains partnerships, within set state territory, with lending partners, community partners, non-profits and business partners through public relations, networking, and outside sales calls. Responds to inquiries and concernsensuring problem resolution with collaborative
  • Serves as a key liaison and advocate for cities/communities and their local industry partners, to include data gathering and analysis for determining needs, underserved populations, and WHEDA’s capabilities to serve those needs.
  • With the support of SF Sales Manager, find ways to craft solutions on efficiencies, process improvements and additional lender support opportunities.
  • Works in collaboration with other Single-Family departments to best help our lending partners. Participate in Authority initiatives to support Authority’s mission.
  • Performs or assists with other organization needs as requested or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; AND 4 years of progressively responsible professional mortgage sales & lending experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have Mortgage Lending Background

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in sales and negotiation techniques & practices
  • Working knowledge with bond, capital, and secondary markets
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations, practices, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Risk management principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Public relations principles and consumer relationship building
  • Time and workload management
  • Developing, implementing, and applying policies, programs, and procedures
  • Developing & conducting training and public speaking
  • Attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot for process improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Successful prioritizing and management of work projects
  • Maintains confidentiality related to internal/ external customers and any other information obtained in
