Summary:
The Corporate Counsel will provide guidance to DCI Donor Services, Inc. (“DCIDS”), of which DCI is sole member; working with DCIDS and DCI company executives, as well as operations, regulatory and clinical personnel in the DCIDS corporate office and its three organ procurement organization sites, tissue bank and eye bank divisions.
DCIDS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to saving and improving lives through organ, eye and tissue donation.

Leadership skills/expectations include:
Compliance with DCIDS/DCI programs: Corporate Counsel will be accountable for adhering to the DCIDS and DCI Standards of Conduct. All employees are required to promptly report all known or suspected compliance-related violation or concerns.
Qualifications:

Applicant should reside in the metropolitan Nashville, Tennessee area or be willing to relocate to the area upon hire. Applicant will be expected to perform at least some or their duties in-office, with any hybrid work subject to prior review and approval and subject to change.
Education and/or Experience:
Licensed attorney holding a J.D. or equivalent degree from a recognized law school.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents.

Work Hours:

Bloodborne Pathogens:
Since this is a healthcare environment, there is a possibility of exposure to infectious/contagious diseases, hazardous chemicals and materials, needle sticks, and exposure to blood and body fluids. Further information regarding this position’s specific work exposure category will be provided during orientation. This position is classified as Category III.
