CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company, is seeking an Application Developer to support the migration of U.S. Army systems into the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment (cArmy). This role involves modernizing legacy systems through application development, database design, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support migration of Army systems and applications into the AWS cloud (cArmy).

  • Develop desktop and web-based applications and design databases to meet mission needs.

  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into reengineered legacy processes.

  • Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Work independently and creatively to execute tasks with minimal supervision.


Required Qualifications:

  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

  • One or more of the following AWS certifications:

    • AWS Certified Developer

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA)

    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • Proficiency with:

    • AWS, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Visual Basic, SQL/DS, MySQL, Python

    • AI/ML technologies and frameworks

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or familiarity with:

    • Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF)

    • GCSS-Army

    • GFEBS

    • LMP

    • Advana

    • Vantage

  • Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence certification

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance required


  • Minimum of 2 years administering Atlassian tools in a corporate or enterprise environment.

  • Strong expertise in Atlassian Suite administration and support.

  • Proficiency in configuring workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and other Jira components.

  • Experience creating custom Jira dashboards, queries, and reports.

  • Ability to write advanced Jira Query Language (JQL) statements for searches and reporting.

  • Solid understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage Scrum Masters, Project Managers, stakeholders, and technical teams.

  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Jira Administration for Datacenter certification or equivalent.

  • Experience with Agile project management.

  • Familiarity with automation and scripting to streamline Jira workflows.

  • Background in DevOps and Agile processes, including transforming business processes into Jira workflows.

  • Experience developing and delivering training programs for Atlassian tool users.
