Brief Description:
The Classroom Support Associate (Regional Campus) position supports technology used for in-person classes at a Fuller Theological Seminary Regional Campus. Job duties include assisting faculty with setting up audio-visual connections at the beginning of class, setting up and operating video conference equipment, availability for prompt technical support during class times throughout the quarter, and regular maintenance of equipment in the classroom spaces. This position works in collaboration with the Event Production team and Tech Support team located in Pasadena, and so excellent communication skills are necessary. This position also spends a good deal of time working independently, so self-initiative, diligence, and organizational skills are a must. In addition, adaptability, attention to detail, and punctuality are essential to this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Provide technical support for all classroom audio-visual and video conferencing systems
? Assist faculty with audio-visual and/or video conference setup at the beginning of each class session during the first week of the quarter
? Provide first-response computer support to classes, including faculty and students in an instructional role
? Conduct regular testing, cleaning, and organizing of audio-visual and video conferencing equipment and restocking of classroom supplies
? Assist in operating audio-visual and video conferencing equipment during classes and special events as needed
? Communicate relevant issues to the Tech Support team, Event Production team, and Regional Campus Manager and Program Chair as needed
Secondary Responsibilities:
? Assist the Tech Support and broader Information Technology Services teams with on-site tasks as needed
? Assist with Event Production team with on-site tasks as needed
? Collaborate with Regional Campus staff and faculty on projects related to the maintenance and welfare of educational technology in classrooms
? Other duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge and Skills Required:
? Experience with audio-visual equipment and other classroom presentation technology
? Experience with video conferencing equipment desirable, but training is provided
? Experience with Zoom software desirable, but training is provided
? Intermediate troubleshooting skills for Windows and Mac computers and audio-visual equipment
? Intermediate office skills (MS Office, Excel, Web, Google Apps)
? Basic computer networking skills
? Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and peers
? Professional and courteous customer service skills
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Ability to initiate action, make decisions, and solve problems independently
? Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
? Ability to work effectively and responsibly with little supervision
? Adaptability to changing situations
? Ability to prioritize daily tasks
? Ability to set and meet deadlines
? Ability to lift 35 pounds and push 50 pounds on a cart
? Ability to transport necessary equipment across campus and up and down 2 flights of stairs

? This is an on-campus role and expected to work out of the Phoenix, AZ campus
? This role is expected to only work approximately 25 hours per quarter
? This role is expected to begin no sooner than July 1, 2025
Pay Scale:
? Hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $18.00 per hour USD
