Job Description
Job Summary
AVP, Regional Sales reporting to the NY Health Plan COO will lead statewide market growth and retention efforts, ensuring care for a vulnerable populations by delivering the right care at the right time. The Health Plan strives to deliver managed care benefit plans in accordance with the state's high compliance expectations.


*Role requires frequent travel and local presence in New York, incumbent must reside in New York.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategic plans, leading high-performing teams, and overseeing all sales operations. Spearhead initiatives that enhance profitability and member retention across benefit plan offerings
  • Lead a team of over 100 sales professionals by designing personalized coaching plans, evaluating performance metrics, and delivering targeted feedback to drive individual and team success
  • Proactively navigate shifting team dynamics by identifying and resolving challenges, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture, and strengthening overall team cohesion
  • Ensure the Company's sales organization adheres to all regulatory requirements
    Set production goals by region, market, and channel
  • Maintain low rates of cancellations, rapid disenrollments, and sales-related complaints, demonstrating growth is being achieved in a responsible way
  • Ensure lead sources are diversified and self-generated enrollments are a significant percentage of new membership.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including phone, written, and video
  • Able to travel throughout assigned territory as needed

Job Qualifications
Required Education
BA/BS degree


Required Experience

  • 7+ years sales leadership in roles of increasing responsibility, including managed care organization in Medicaid
  • Strong, quantitative, analytical skills and ability
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including phone, written, and video
  • Able to travel throughout assigned territory as needed

Pay Range: $122,430.44 - $238,739.35 / ANNUAL
