Overview

As the Manufacturing, Integration & Test Engineering Manager. at ITT Inc.'s Valencia location, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the aerospace business. You will lead a team of professionals engaged in test equipment design, test engineering, and manufacturing engineering to ensure our products meet bother customer and internal functional & performance, reliability and quality requirements. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including other ITT sites especially our production facility in Nogales, Mexico, will be essential to achieve the organization's goals.



Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Provide effective leadership to the Manufacturing, Integration & Test Engineering group, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Environmental & Development Test Lab: Manage the laboratory space, equipment and all incoming development & environmental qualification LRU assets. Tear down, repair and RCCA of failed units.
  • Ensure that customers (internal and external) have a premium experience when dealing with ITT testing departments, with an effective and timely submission of results, and a proactive interaction with the relevant stakeholders, to provide technical solutions and proposals.
  • Provide the team with the needed tools and processes to report the most relevant metrics and KPI to ensure a good tracking of the department performance.
  • Support maintenance programs and activities, to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency of our machines.
  • Test Equipment Design: Oversee the design and development of test equipment for aerospace products, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Test Engineering: Manage the test engineering process, including the design and execution of testing procedures, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Manufacturing Engineering: Lead the manufacturing engineering team in DFx reviews, optimization of production processes, maintaining product quality and helping drive resolution to any issue with on-time shipment of our various product lines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other ITT sites and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment on engineering strategies.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of engineering processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, reduce manufacturing defects, and streamline engineering processes.
  • Budget Management: Tracking of labor and expense budgets, ensuring responsible allocation of resources to meet project and organizational objectives including laboratory costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Talent Development: Foster the professional growth and development of team members through coaching, mentorship, and training opportunities.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience (8+ preferred) within the aerospace or related industry, with hands on experience in a production environment. Strong background across test equipment design, test engineering, environmental qualification and manufacturing a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a project engineer or engineering mgt. position
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and locations.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
