Job Summary
This position supports a faculty-led research project conducting a systematic literature review on legal issues in arts administration. The review seeks to identify, analyze, and categorize existing legal scholarship relevant to arts management, including topics such as copyright, contracts, intellectual property, governance, and compliance. The project contributes to a broader interdisciplinary study titled The Fine Print of Creativity: Janis Ian’s Score of Law and Business, which explores how artists navigate legal and fi nancial challenges in the creative industries.

Job Responsibilities:
Assist with identifying and retrieving relevant articles from legal, arts administration, business, and interdisciplinary journals
Use traditional and AI-assisted tools (e.g., Consensus, Elicit) to locate, screen, and summarize academic sources
Organize and code articles based on predetermined criteria (e.g., topic area, publication type, legal issue, methodological approach)
Maintain detailed and well-organized records of sources reviewed and summarized
Contribute to the synthesis of findings that identify patterns, gaps, and key themes in the literature
Collaborate with faculty supervisors during regular check-ins to review progress and adjust research scope as needed
