SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer II.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is currently seekinga Software Engineer III. As an Engineer for Tactical Control Systems,you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for supporting designand maintaining submarine combat system network architecture to support ourcontinued commitment of providing the US and Royal Australian Navies thehighest quality software.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
  • Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
  • Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
  • Advise customer about or perform maintenance of software system.
  • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitativefield such as engineering or mathematics.

Experience: 3 years of experience.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
