We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pine Ridge Service Unit - MSA - Emergency Medicine, who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. This individual must be able to act with both efficiency and care, ensuring the well-being of our people. The MSA - Emergency Medicine will take on a primary role in caring for patients, fostering a relationship built on trust, and collaborating with others in the healthcare team. Together, staff will provide care that honors our traditions, meets the needs of the community, and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive respectful experience for both patients and their families.
Requirements:

Licensure: Clinician (W2)
Certifications: AHA BLS
Experience: High school diploma

Pine Ridge Hospital is a 45-bed hospital serving the Lakota Indian population. Located in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, this facility is the largest in the Great Plains area and includes full service general surgery, emergency room services, an obstetrical ward, and dental services.
Offer administrative support to health care staff and perform tasks such as maintaining and updating patient records, controlling patient accounts, handling correspondence and scheduling patient appointments.
Prepare patients for exam and treatment including medical history. Assists providers with exams and minor ER procedures.
Provides clerical support.
Maintain a stocked, clean, functional center including cleaning and disinfection. Inventory of supplies and stocks care areas.
Determining the nature of the call and assisting with communicating needs regarding appointments. Prioritizing calls and making decisions on caller needs.
Utilizing computer technology to ensure continuity of care through accurate patient information. Perform receptionist duties, customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients. Verifying and updating demographics and insurance information.
Performing basic eligibility. Utilizing numerous advanced patient systems.
