The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Department of Education is seeking a part-time instructor to teach four courses each semester for the 2025-2026 academic year. Responsibilities will include teaching the equivalent of four courses each semester in person on campus, including educational psychology, social foundations, assessment, engaging young children, and supervising student teachers. Duties for these courses will include designing the courses according to Pennsylvania Department of Education teacher education competencies, assessing students appropriately, and modeling best practices for the student.
Successful applicants will provide evidence of successful teaching experience. Background in elementary education preferred. Additionally, the University of Pittsburgh values candidates with an interest in matters of diversity.
The successful candidate will possess at least a master’s degree and teaching experience; experience teaching in higher education is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.).

PA Act 153 clearance (PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, and PA Child Abuse History Clearance) may be required prior to commencement of employment.
