The Markey Cancer Center, Kentucky Community Cancer Program, is recruiting for a Research Information Security Lead. This position is a senior technical member of the Markey Cancer Center Informatics team and works closely with Cancer Center, UK HealthCare, campus IT, and others to develop and implement a comprehensive information security program. This position will be responsible for technical leadership of information security policy development, operations, vulnerability management, testing and validation, certification, incident responses, and cloud security management.

This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement.

Microsoft Windows and Server, Active Directory: Configuration and Implementation, Group Policy Objects, OS Hardening and Security Audits, Virtualization, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Linux, Mac OS, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet, Protocol (TCP/IP), Firewall Implementation and Configuration, Lifelong learner, Curious, Intermediate networking skills, Basic security skills, Basic data analytics, Good end user support skills, Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls.

Masters degree and 5 years of related experience Bachelor’s degree plus more than 5 years related experience in Powershell, HTML, PHP, CSS, ASP and .Net, C/C++, Java, XML, Splunk, Tenable, project management preferred.
