Overview

Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Honolulu, HI



Responsibilities

The Technical Project Manager will provide functions to support IT project management activities at unit level, this involves overseeing all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects. 

 

  • Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project. 
  • Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources. 
  • Receive operational guidance from unit Leadership and manage all project and task requirements accordingly. 
  • Provide advice to unit leadership on engineering efforts and provide technical recommendations for current projects or initiatives being considered. 
  • Apply Project Management best practices in the synchronization and coordination of the development and execution of all requirements, ensuring engineering projects are completed in a timely manner with quality results. 
  • Operate in environment that has requirements in frequent political-level customer engagement in a Combined Joint-Operational Military environment. 
  • Ensure all Contractor personnel receive proper training, care, and access to the tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete project and task requirements. 
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to key leaders and stakeholders to include consolidating the Weekly Status Report and reviewing the Projects Tracker for accuracy. 
  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong documentation and technical writing abilities. 
  • Proven experience with the equipment covered under the contract. 
  • Proficient in utilizing computer-based project management tools. 


Qualifications



  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable). 
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive experience in design and development. 
  • At least five (5) years of management and supervisory experience overseeing military hardware and software development projects. 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in systems analysis. 
  • Required certification: Security+. 
  • Able to travel to support mission up to 10%. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Management, OR an Associate’s degree plus fifteen (15) years of recent specialized experience, OR twenty (20) years of recent specialized experience.
