Stain Formulation Specialist - Position Overview:

Wilsonart, Charleston, has an immediate opening for a Stain Formulation Specialist. The specialist will make pre-booth quality checks of equipment. Mixing paint and stains utilizing MaestroHue under the direction of the Operations Manager. Performs other task as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.

•Maintain a clean and safe work environment

•Make pre-booth quality checks of equipment. Mixing paint and stains utilizing MaestroHue.

•Adhere to all safety rules in dealing with hazardous materials.

•Maintain a high level of production and quality to meet site goals per day.

•Maintain clean and organized work areas, including the paint mixing room, spray booth, spray equipment, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

•Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards

•Ability to communicate well in a distribution operation environment

•Ability to understand and follow directions

•Knowledge of computers sufficient to perform general transactions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years experience working with mixing/matching stains and paints.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20-50lbs) Examples: Nurses, LVNs and physical therapists

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
