RMC is hiring for a Senior Systems Administrator at one of our clients sites in Dahlgren, VA, this position is 100% onsite. The Systems Administrator will provide support monitoring the performance of servers, software and hardware, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, configuring internal systems and servers, managing the security and permissions of user accounts, creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans, and updating technical documentation and upgrading system components.


Requirements

The selected applicant must possess the following qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in engineering systems administration with Windows server operating systems and services, including Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with advanced VMware concepts, including vSphere Distributed Switch (vDS), Site Recovery Manager (SRM), vSphere Storage I/O Control (SIOC), VMware Network Virtualization and Security Platform (NSX), and Update Manager.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with providing SCCM/SCOM administration support in a mixed and growing environment supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft SQL 2012+, Windows 10+, VMWare 6.x. Experience with RHEL 7.x-8.x strongly preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in working with PowerShell, Power CLI, and Windows batch scripting.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with engineering, implementing, and operating Microsoft Windows Servers, VMware Six/vSphere, Solar winds, HP hardware, McAfee ePO, Active Directory, EMC VNX, and NetBackup.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in automated deployments of OS images with VMware templates.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with operations and monitoring best practices, including capacity, performance, and security and SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM).
  • Experience with disaster recovery and Continuity of Operations (COOP).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

  • The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE, CCNA, CYSA+, or CND).
  • The selected applicant must have or being willing to obtain the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Level Certification within 90 days of employment start date.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start and apply, but candidate must be able/willing to have clearance upgraded to an Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

* Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $90,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually.
