Description:

Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Distribution Mobility Planner to join our logistics team. This role is critical to optimizing the movement of goods across our distribution network, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery operations. You will work closely with transportation teams, warehouse managers, and supply chain analysts to design and manage smart distribution strategies using advanced planning tools and data-driven decision-making. **This is an immediate fill**

Job Requirements/Duties:

  • Develop and optimize daily and long-term transportation and delivery plans.
  • Utilize route planning and transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate fleet movements.
  • Monitor delivery performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze transportation costs and efficiency metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align distribution strategies with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage exceptions and disruptions in real-time to minimize service delays.
  • Interface with USTRANSCOM and supporting entities for POE evaluation
  • Manage Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD) and validate ULNs

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics planning or transportation coordination.
  • Proficiency with route optimization software

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours/day).
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach—especially when visiting distribution centers or warehouses.
  • Visual acuity to read data on computer screens, spreadsheets, and routing software.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20–30 pounds, occasionally (e.g., when handling documents, samples, or materials during site visits).
  • Travel requirements: May involve occasional travel to distribution centers, warehouses, or logistics partners (typically local or regional).
  • Use of hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, including keyboards, phones, and scanners.
  • Hearing and speech ability sufficient to communicate via phone, video calls, and in-person meetings.
