JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Employee Engagement and Recognition Specialist is responsible identifying and addressing opportunities that impact employee satisfaction; implementing initiatives that promote a great place to work for company culture; and creating programs that support the professional and personal growth of employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Executes the DHL eCommerce employee engagement agenda, including the creation of internal campaigns from plan to roll-out, design and edition of communication materials, launch of various projects and key events for all office locations and distribution centers. Prepares PowerPoint presentations and toolkits for Employee Engagement initiatives to support the launch of projects and events for Office and Distribution Center locations. Manage internal recognition programs such as Employee Appreciation Week, Employee of the Quarter/Year and Long Service Awards, as well as front line recognition programs (Employee of the Month and DHL Rewards). Write employee stories that represents our DHL eCommerce culture and general HR announcements that can be shared on our internal communication channels. Keep our Employee Engagement Smart Connect pages updated with content. Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to promote engagement initiatives, partnering with other departments to ensure alignment of engagement efforts with broader organizational goals (e.g. Social Responsibility, Global DEIB framework, Awards). Lead engagement initiatives such as conferences, end of year meetings and birthday celebrations by creating an agenda, employee communications, invites and facilitating sessions. Stays up to date on emerging trends and best practices related to employee engagement and makes recommendations for improvement. Collaborates with HR and CES teams to design and implement employee communications, development programs, training, and career advancement opportunities. Contributes to ad-hoc projects as necessary. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Communications, or related field preferred. 5 to 6 years of progressive HR or Communications related experience required to include recognition, employee engagement, feedback, training, well-being, D&I, and internal communications. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Video skills desirable. Willingness to learn and “can-do” attitude. Must be personable, able to work pleasantly with a variety of people, and service oriented. Strong design, digital, creative, and online skills. Ability to develop and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and attention to detail, with the ability to track and follow-up tasks. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams. Passion for improving employee engagement and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands are mostly consistent with a professional office setting. Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift. Nominal travel (<25%) may be required.
