Job Details

Description

Coordinating procedures with multiple hospitals and surgery centers, scheduling, writing and communicating surgery orders, and collecting necessary documentation for procedures.

Completing procedure order forms, printing supporting documentations such as insurance information, office notes, and face sheets.

Organizing and managing the procedure schedules for multiple Physicians

Calculating and notifying patients of surgery estimated cost

Ensuring patients have the proper durable medical equipment (such as brace, walker, crutches, etc.) prior to surgery

Verifying insurance coverage per facility (must follow strict guidelines regarding acceptance of various insurance plans among various organizations/Providers, patient medical history, and other factors)

Obtaining surgical clearances if required.

Clearly communicating preparation instructions and other details pertaining to procedures

Answering telephones regarding patient instruction questions, re-scheduling appointments, verification of patient information; must, at all times, maintain excellent customer service skills with courteous, kind, and professional mannerism.

Answering “tasks” within the electronic system, pertaining to procedure instructions.

As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations and maintain annual required workplace trainings.

Other duties as assigned/necessary.
