Yard Controller (Class 1/2) - Military veterans preferred

Pay Rate: £31,765.77

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday - Friday (start times between 05.00-07.00am)
Location: DN3 3FF - Doncaster

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Yard Controller to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Move and organise trailer in and around the yard
• Prepare and take trailers for maintenance to garages/vendors
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
  

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience but don't hesitate to apply if you don't tick every box on this page - we're great at spotting talent and potential in everyone:

• You will hold either a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E) / HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C) + Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience with Wagon & Drag and Demount Box
• 6 Months HGV Class 1 / Class 2 driving experience
• Excellent knowledge of drivers hours and regulations
