Overview

At Velociti The Terrazzo Restoration Technician is responsible for performing specialized floor care duties including autoscrubbing, burnishing, stripping, sealing and polishing of terrazzo floors. This role may be asked to support other floor and/or carpet care tasks as well. The technician ensures all floor surfaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained to support a professional and hygienic environment

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 6pm - 2:30am

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors, and floor machines.
• Sweep, mop, strip, seal, wax, and buff hard floors as scheduled.
• Shampoo, spot clean, and extract carpets using appropriate methods.
• Identify and report floor damage or unsafe conditions.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling.
• Maintain and store equipment and supplies in a clean, organized manner.
• Work independently or with a team to complete assigned tasks on time.
• Assist with moving furniture or other objects as needed for floor care access.
• Ensure proper safety and security measures are followed to protect all people and customer property
• Ensure work areas are left in a clean, “customer ready” state following each shift
• Provide excellent customer service in occupied areas.
• Maintain compliance with all company and regulatory cleaning standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in floor care, carpet care and general janitorial operations.
• Minimum 1 year of experience terrazzo floor restoration and maintenance.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture (up to 50 lbs).
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in floor care or OSHA safety standards (optional but valued).
