SUMMARY:

Leads and supports the implementation of corporate strategy by providing strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management and business units leaderships.  Initiates, plans, develops, leads, manages, and closes multiple projects and/or strategic initiatives including departmental, intradepartmental, cross-functional, and enterprise levels of the organization; projects may include strategic initiatives, business improvement, organization performance, mergers and acquisitions, or business intelligence and measurement of strategies and initiatives. Manages all stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides analysis and recommendations to facilitate robust discussions among senior management and the Board of Directors 

Consults, informs, and assists with various business units in the development of strategic plans that complement and support the company's vision, values, high level objectives, and overall corporate strategy 

Collaborates with corporate executives and subject matter experts to design and develop analytical displays of information used in high-level strategic decision-making

Contributes to the corporate strategic planning dialogue through concept development and visual representation designing for a wide range of uses 

Manages multiple medium-to-large scale, high profile, and complex company-wide projects from start to completion 

Manages scope, budget, and project milestones and monitors progress and status of established projects using project management methods, tools, and schedules 

Collaborates with the financial forecasting function to incorporate financial implications into the evaluation of strategic initiatives
Ensures the consistency of projects and initiatives with corporate strategy and objectives, consistency of processes and tools across projects, and client satisfaction with project or initiative results 

Prioritizes initiatives, develops resource requirements for projects, and develops statements of work 

Builds business cases, prepares recommendations, and presents new project and initiative ideas to senior management 

Leads and drives change in company and business unit processes and programs 

Actively participates as a key member of a senior team in the functional area to develop, coordinate, and execute business objectives and capture lessons learned at the close of each project

Ability to express complex technical, financial and business concepts in understandable terms to various readers through writing and design 

Ability to supervise activities of multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams, and workgroups 

Ability to effectively manage time, schedule and track several complex projects simultaneously, and to drive projects to completion in a complex, deadline-driven environment 

Ability to use risk management tools, statistical analysis, and models 

Ability to apply process improvement, transformation, and service level agreement skills

Ability to balance the information quality attributes of timeliness, accuracy, accessibility, and completeness 

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college with seven to nine years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience related to the discipline. 

Master's degree is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Consultant, Lean, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Project Management Professional by Project Management Institute certification is strongly preferred. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides input regarding team members performance to their direct supervisors. 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, equally effective at conveying key information and defending positions in formal and informal settings with senior management 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents 

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and program and process documentation 

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations

Ability to effectively listen and get clarification to respond to a wide range of questions

Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints

Ability to effectively give persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to various audiences 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply the concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

COMPUTER SKILLS:

In depth knowledge of spreadsheet, database, presentation, project management, and word processing software 

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY: 

Ability to solve problems and build consensus among groups.  Ability to define issues and problems, collect and analyze wide-ranging data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide recommendations.  

SCOPE AND IMPACT:

Manages multiple cross-enterprise projects and initiatives impacting both revenue and cost savings. Collaborates with colleagues and geographically dispersed teams on various assignments.  Supplies information for decision making by the CEO, Board of Directors, and all other top-level management committees and councils. Decisions made based on this information have company-wide effects and outcomes.

DECISION MAKING:

Ability to apply considerable creativity, independence of thought and action, and skills to devise workable solutions, which address the quality requirements of projects. Uses independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time.  Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required.  Manual dexterity is required.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Office environment.
