Overview
This Senior Research Specialist position at the Institutional Antiracism and Accountability (IARA) Project, directed by Professor Khalil Gibran Muhammad, will contribute to research and policy analysis focused on health equity and history of medicine. This position will play a key role in the final stage of the Truth, Reconciliation, Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) Archival Research Project.

The TRHT Research Project is a landmark initiative in partnership with the American Medical Association (AMA). Looking at the AMA archives in Chicago, this project examines the historical roots of racial disparities in American healthcare to develop actionable strategies for restorative justice and health equity. The Senior Research Specialist will serve as the primary writer in the project’s final report, in addition to conducting in-depth archival research and analysis.

This is a full-time remote position for a 6-month term.
