Job Summary/Basic Function:

  • Organize and conduct team practices to prepare the team for competition. Travel locally, regionally, and nationally for any regular or post-season events.
  • Develop and execute a recruiting plan for prospective student-athletes domestically and when applicable internationally.
  • Serve in an administrative capacity as needed, including but not limited to game management and a secondary duty.
  • Oversee the student-athlete’s academic progress and be available for consultation and support for overall student-athlete well-being.
  • Create and implement a plan of engagement and communication with alumni and fundraising initiatives.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2-4 years of collegiate coaching experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year to accomplish the tasks necessary for success in this field
  • Commitment to working and teaching within an environment that embraces the development of students around their education, cultural diversity, mental health awareness, and healthy masculinity



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Collegiate artistic swimming experience
  • 3-5 years of head coaching experience preferred

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.

The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is starting at $60,000.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience.
