Senior Technical Task Lead - Artificial Intelligence & Digital Transformation

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving digital transformation and adoption of artificial intelligence in cutting-edge research environments? We are seeking a Senior Technical Task Lead with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Digital Transformation efforts to become the face of our critical contract supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Digital Capabilities Directorate. Requirements:
• Active Secret clearance with the Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance within 30 days of notification
• 10+ years of experience in either commercial or government settings delivering AI/ML project support and technical leadership to a wide range of stakeholders
• Minimum 5+ years of direct experience working with AFRL in technical or program management capacity
• Experience working in secure government research environments
• Knowledge of NISPOM, OPSEC, and AFRL-specific security protocols
• Understanding of Science & Technology Protection Plans
• Exceptional program management and leadership skills in AFRL context
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with government stakeholders
• Experience managing cross-functional, geographically distributed teams
• Proven ability to work with AFRL senior leadership and technical personnel
• Understanding and proficiency in key AFRL's mission areas, including Digital Transformation, Agile Development; Artificial Intelligence; Modeling & Simulation; Software Engineering; Cyber Security; Testing - DT&E & OT for AI systems; Data Collection & Analysis; Risk Management; Systems Engineering, Security, Maintenance & Sustainment. While expertise in all areas is not mandatory, a strong ability to identify and leverage internal resources is essential.
• Demonstrated understanding of AFRL organizational structure, culture, and operational requirements
• Proven track record of successful project delivery within AFRL environment
• Established relationships with AFRL technical and functional directorate
Preferred:
• Master's degree in relevant technical field
• Experience with multiple AFRL directorates and programs
• Experience with AFRL's Digital Capabilities Directorate specifically
• Certifications in PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certification
• Background in defense research and development acquisition processes
• Knowledge of Air Force Research and Development planning processes
