Ocean Freight Payables Analyst

We are seeking an Ocean Freight Payables Analyst responsible for managing the financial operations related to ocean freight payables. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciling freight accounts, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. The analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting operational efficiency in the ocean freight logistics process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or logistics, with a focus on ocean freight preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in operational systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with intermediate English proficiency.
• Proven hands-on experience in using operational and accounting systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain good vendor relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
• Ability to proactively work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify tasks and projects.
• Initiative to start and follow through without needing external prompting.
