Title: Adjunct Part-Time Position in Theology

School: Harvard Divinity School


Position Description: Harvard Divinity School seeks to appoint an adjunct instructor/lecturer in theology or philosophy of religion to teach one course during the fall semester 2025 (contracted from August 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025).

Scholars working in any tradition, geographical complex, or time period are welcome to apply. Their proposed course may be focused on the candidate's area of research but it must be open and accessible to the Divinity School's multi-religious student body.

All instruction for HDS takes place on our Cambridge, MA campus and is in-person.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications:

(1) Completed advanced degree (PhD preferred; ABD at minimum)
(2) Prior experience teaching at the graduate level
(3) Sensibility to a multi-religious student body.

Publications in the field are desirable, though not required.
