Overview

Lutron has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, highly technical Mobile Application Software Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Mentor junior engineers as they start their career with us
  • Dive technically deep in on one of software platforms
  • Collaborate with our Product Managers, Software Architects, and Functional Area Owners and other parts of our company to develop solutions to problems
  • Desire to research emerging technologies to improve our software architecture

 



Responsibilities

  • Develop customer requirements with stakeholders
  • Create system and software design documentation
  • Implement the solution, unit-tests, and integration tests with multiple developers
  • Work with senior engineers to review solutions
  • Resolve technical issues, reported bugs and field issues promptly


Qualifications



  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
  • Minimum, cumulative 3.0 GPA for all degrees earned
  • 5+ years of industry experience in Mobile Application Development
  • Computer Science Fundamentals including Object Oriented Principles and Design Patterns 
  • Fluent with Kotlin or Swift ideally with experience developing using Declarative UI frameworks such as Jetpack Compose or Swift UI 

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Familiarity with Agile Principles, include SAFe
  • Experience with BitBucket, Jira, Confluence
  • Experience with CI/CD Best Practices
  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)
