Residency Administrator
Support of clinical efficiency and educational experiences of the residency program with defined reporting responsibilities on residency progression and patient management to residency director/chair. The RA is responsible for accounting for all resident requested time off, oversight of patient management, financial counseling and patient payment agreements, pre-authorizations, identification of patient copays prior to appointment date, the management of internal and external referrals, and patient record audits and discrepancy management.
The Residency Administrator is responsible for accounting for all resident requested time off, oversight of patient management, financial counseling and patient payment agreements, pre-authorizations, identification of patient copays prior to appointment date, the management of internal and external referrals, and patient records audits and discrepancy management. The Residency Administrator plays a critical role in creating a positive and professional experience and works closely with the Residency Patient Experience Specialist to ensure a positive patient and resident experience. The Residency Administrator must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and diligently observe HIPAA and FERPA requirements in all dealings with residents, patients and patient information.
This position is primarily sedentary, but the ability to move throughout the School and clinic area is needed in order to respond to faculty, resident, student, or patient needs. No significant lifting or carrying.
