Overview

Support GMP Manufacturing by managing all aspects of inventory including ordering, staging, shipping and cycle counting. Safely transport hazardous materials between buildings and operate in a GMP environment. 



Responsibilities

    • Manage various assignments and organize workload to meet timelines.
    • Adhere to all EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP DEA regulations and internal SOP's related to warehouse operations.
    • Follow OSHA and company safety rules and practices.
    • Handle multiple projects and prioritize as needed for the business
    • Prepare and complete orders for delivery between the buildings, according to schedule.
    • Locate and stage raw materials for production.
    • Process nonhazardous shipments (ex. Fed Ex program and packaging)
    • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, ensuring hazardous materials are properly classified, packaged, and loaded for transport. Follow all applicable traffic and safety laws, including those specific to hazardous materials transportation.
    • Inspect vehicles before and after trips for safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
    • Receive raw materials, manage inventory, and follow GMP standards for sampling.
    • Maintain forklift certification.
    • Work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment

    • This position works with and handles hazardous materials and waste. This person has the appropriate qualifications to read, understand, apply and communicate written and verbal instruction regarding handling and managing hazardous waste. Training is required within six months of assuming duty and once a year thereafter.
    • This position is responsible for recognizing emergency situations concerning hazardous materials and waste.
    • Assist Shipping Department with shipment preparations.
    • Sign Hazardous waste manifest, as needed
    • Maintain and receive approximately 50 general chemicals and approximately 250 standard supplies.


Qualifications



 

  • HS Diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years chemical warehouse experience preferred.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience transporting hazardous materials.
  • Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
  • Completion of Entry-Level Driving Training (ELDT) regulations for hazardous materials.
  • HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
