POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides daily assistance to the PATRIOT Launch Support Team and Material Test Directorate. Manages the in-house PATRIOT maintenance program and coordinates higher level maintenance requirements with appropriate Contractor and Government organizations. Administers the Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) process in accordance with the PATRIOT Logistics Directorate Test Support Plan. Plans, schedules, and executes all maintenance actions IAW established supply regulations, maintenance policies and procedures, and other governing supply and maintenance management guidelines, including those provided by civilian vendors.
Maintains, updates and tracks existing PATRIOT Test Operations databases (PATRIOT Conventional Maintenance Database), and manages all maintenance related record keeping. Generates periodic equipment and readiness status reports and answers government data calls as required. Utilizes Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access to accomplish assigned tasks. Provides daily assistance and performs other duties as assigned in support of the PATRIOT Test Program and other projects to include LTAMDS and IFMC.
This position requires some travel and may require extensive overtime and/or weekend work to meet test mission operational requirements.
Graduation from a two year resident course at a technical institute and two years of progressive experience in the specific field, or a total of five years progressive experience in the specific field. Military training and experience with Air Missile Defense Systems, especially testing, will be assessed and may be credited as qualifying education. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must become proficient with G-ARMY and Government accounting system DPAS. Must have familiarity and demonstrate proficiency with the following:
• Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), and state and federal inspections and audits.
• U.S. Army Major Item and Repair Parts Supply, Installation Supply and Property
• Skill in gathering, inputting, retrieving and maintaining location and maintenance information using a computer and associated
forms.
• Technical knowledge of Air Defense Missile Systems and operation of subcomponents
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb onto trailer platforms, maneuver around weapons systems, and be able to work in unprotected field environments.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION: Specific operations or logistics experience with PATRIOT Air and Missile Defense System or related Air Missile Defense Systems (e.g. AIAMD, THAAD, etc.)
