Overview

What We’re Looking For
As an experienced Cloud System Administrator you will support the deployment, configuration and administration of cloud and distributed systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in dynamic, high-security environments and has hands-on experience managing modern cloud infrastructures.

    This position is 100% onsite in Maryland and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

    Qualifications

    What You’ll Need

    • U.S. Citizenship
    • Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
    • One (1) to Three (3) years of relevant experience is required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics is highly desired and may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
    • Must have a Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification that is DoD 8570 compliant, such as:
      • AWS Certified Developer - Associate
      • AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional
      • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
      • Elastic Certified Engineer
      • Advanced knowledge of SSH tunneling, dynamic SOCKS proxies and SSH-based utilities such as rsync, pdsh, pdcp and WinSCP.
      • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, port channel bonding and Layer 2/Layer 3 switch interactions.
      • Familiarity with software load balancers (e.g., HAProxy, Nginx) for large-scale web services.
      • Experience with Kubernetes orchestration and Docker containerization.
      • Proficiency in log aggregation and monitoring tools including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Filebeat, Grafana and rsyslog.
