DHL Express (Fiji) Pte Limited invites applications for the above position to be based at the Suva Office. The role’s primary objective is to provide business application build and run services to the DHL Australia IT team based in Sydney and work alongside the program delivery team.

Key Accountabilities

1. Team Leadership:

· Provide direction and guidance to the DevSecOps team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

· Mentor and develop team members, facilitating their professional growth.

· Align team objectives with organizational goals and ensure that security is prioritized.

· Promote best practices in development, security, and operations.

· Allocate resources effectively, ensuring the team has the necessary knowledge for operations, technologies, and individual development.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration:

· Act as a liaison between project team, development, operations, and security teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

· Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and address concerns.

3. Performance Monitoring:

· Track team performance metrics and project progress, providing feedback and coaching to enhance effectiveness.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and set objectives for team members.

4. Compliance Oversight:

· Ensure that the team adheres to compliance standards and regulatory requirements related to security.

5. Incident Management:

· Coordinate the team’s response to application incidents, ensuring proper IT processes are followed.

· Conduct post-incident reviews (RCA) to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Skills / Experience / Competencies / Qualification

· Degree in Computing Science, Information Technology or equivalent.

· ITIL Certification.

· 2+ years’ experience in a similar role with direct reports.

· 2+ years’ experience in CICD practices and DevSecOps/SSDF disciplines.

· 5+ years’ experience in App development using Python with Django frameworks.

· Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases or other RDBMS.

· Experience in Web frameworks and RESTful APIs.

· Communication skills – practical and amicable communication with the DEV team, Support team & stakeholders.

· Root cause analysis (RCA) - Thinks through a situation systematically. Critically evaluates both numerical and narrative information. Draws accurate conclusions.

· Good understanding of Linux/Cloud-based systems architecture.

· Ability to work on flexible hours/rostered hours in the Sydney time zone.
