POSITION SUMMARY
The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst I provides technical support for customer account provisioning and deprovisioning and effectively resolves or escalates incidents and inquiries related to access or account management services across multiple applications and technology platforms. The IAM Analyst I helps with addressing end-user's access and other security related issues and to recommend improvements to address security issues or gaps. The IAM Analyst I learns to make general decisions without guidance and direction in problem solving based upon a solid knowledge of the IAM functions, processes and procedures. This role typically works under general supervision, while performing assignments that are varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involve limited responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School diploma required. Associate or Bachelor degree in information technology, information security or related field preferred. Several courses or seminars on data security and application security concepts, auditing, and operating systems security are preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: At least one certification in technology or security preferred.
EXPERIENCE: General knowledge of technology platforms and applications. Prefer relevant experience in data security and user account management. Strong analytical and administrative skills required, as well as strong attention to detail.
This position may require on-call responsibilities.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS MAINTAIN AND DOCUMENT IAM SECURITY MEASURES WITHIN IT Establish, maintain, and monitor user permissions. Analyze requests for application access for appropriateness to job, role, department and company (if applicable) and ensure access requests are submitted through the documented request process.
- Work with users and subject matter experts to gather and analyze permission requirements.*
- Resolves account provisioning requests such as user accounts creation and permissions required for access to an IT application, system or resource, granting only the approved access level in the applications approved for the user in the request.*
- Analyze and address as appropriate access management issues involving EMR, Active Directory user and groups, Windows File share access management, and other application access control.*
- Monitor and audit user account access rights to ensure user has the proper access rights for their particular role or job.*
- Conducts operation-level troubleshooting activities to identify and implement efficient incident resolution action that minimizes end user downtime.*
- Conducts proper root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of end user access issues.*
- Handle their own efforts to support/resolve assigned activities and communicate results and findings to end users and management as necessary.*
- Recognizes and makes recommendations of potential areas where access provisioning and access removal policies and procedures require change or where new policies and procedures need to be developed and communicates them to the IT Security Manager.*
- Maintain familiarity with installed software standards and procedures and evaluate other tools to determine the appropriate fit into application and system development.*
- Collaborate on critical IT projects as needed to ensure that Identity and Access Management (IAM) issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.*
- Provide on-call services as required to provide emergency assistance toward resolving application access issues.*

WORK ENVIRONMENT Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires repetitive motion, fingering, grasping, hearing, and speaking a majority of the time. This position also requires spending time with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, copier and telephone.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP This position reports to the Information Security Manager.
