Key Responsibilities

Writing & Editing

- Develop and craft persuasive, well-written narratives for technical and management content, past performance descriptions, and other proposal sections.
- Write technical sections, including executive summaries, technical approaches, and methodologies to communicate the proposed solution effectively.
- Provide formatting, editing, proofreading, and reviews for proposals, RFI responses, and other deliverables.

Collaboration & Research

- Support the proposal development process and other Growth efforts for Aleut’s Mission Support and Technology Services group (M&T).
- Work with Capture Leads to develop themes/strength statements, discriminators, and key success factors.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear and understandable language for non-technical readers and evaluators.
- Conduct research and interviews to gather necessary information and technical data for proposal development.
- Integrate feedback and suggestions from multiple stakeholders.

Compliance & Quality Control

Review, analyze, and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with RFP and organizational standards, and identify areas for improvement in compliance and strength.
- Assist with other proposal/Growth (BD)-related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5+ years’ experience as a proposal writer responding to Federal Government solicitations.
- Demonstrated success writing and leading technical, management, staffing, and transition volumes.
- Exceptional writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with a proven ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and proposal teams.
- Ability to edit proposal content for grammar and consistency per RFP requirements and Aleut Federal style.
- Ability to respond promptly to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and personal accountability for high-quality deliverables.
- Understanding of the Federal Government acquisition process.
- Strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Internet research, and proposal automation applications.
- Willingness to work extended hours, as necessary, to meet proposal response deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- APMP, Shipley, or similar certification is a plus.

Salary Range: $ 80K-$95 K
