NeoGenomics has an opening for a Cash Application Specialist II who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This position is a Monday - Friday 5:00 am-1:30pm or 7:00 am-3:30pm PST, Remote role to work day shift.

Position Summary:
This position maintains the integrity of cash and A/R transactions to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable balances. This position also inputs payment and adjustment data into accounts, processes electronic remittances, and ensures that work complies with all cash related procedures and financial control policies set by the finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately posts all cash, checks, credit cards and electronically transferred funds to customers’ accounts.
- Process credit cards for Patients, Payers, Client & Pharma.
- Accurately post all ACH zero pay remits and all paper mailed remits.
- Balances to daily batch deposits
- Identifies and corrects Payer & Claim match errors in the system
- Identifies and submits any missing Advice Codes that are not in the system.
- Proactively identify any Payers that requirement ERA/EFT
- Review all Credits and make any necessary corrections needed to show the correct balance on claim.
- Research unidentified payments using internal sources, written communication, and phone inquiries to determine appropriate accounts for payment and/or refunds.
- Appropriately identifies overpayments requiring refund or recoupment (PLB’s) and applies appropriate status in system for review by Reimbursement Specialist.
- Demonstrates professional etiquette and courtesy when interfacing with customers, internal and external.
- Research all payment discrepancies to determine correct posting to accounts and work with other teams to resolve, as needed (CPD’s)
- Adjustment(s) posting – line item level - data entry and electronic posting
- Process overpayments and refunds to patients that paid via credit card
- Comply with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all billing related matters.
- Comply with all Safety, Emergency, Hazard, OSHA, HIPAA, Quality Assurance and Administrative Plans, Policies, Guidelines, Protocol, and Standards.
- Focus on attaining daily productivity standards
- Initiate telephone call to health plan when required
Experience, Education and Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) year or Cash Application or A/R experience
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to make evaluative judgments; ability to prioritize work, multi-task and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow through required
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, the Inter and Intranet and other programs/software as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to coordinate multiple task concurrently and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
