ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Vision
Drive the long-term direction and positioning of sensor and connected technology products by defining a clear and compelling strategy that aligns with business goals, customer needs, and market dynamics.
- Define and maintain the product vision and strategy for sensor and connected technology offerings.
- Align roadmap priorities with business goals, customer needs, and emerging market trends.
- Own the long-term evolution of the product portfolio, balancing innovation with platform consistency.
- Identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage through technology integration.
Customer Discovery and Market Insight
Lead discovery efforts to deeply understand customer pain points, use cases, and unmet needs—ensuring that products are grounded in real-world value and market fit.
- Lead ongoing discovery efforts with customers, channel partners, and field teams to uncover unmet needs.
- Validate concepts through user research, testing, and iterative learning.
- Translate customer insights into product requirements that solve real problems and deliver measurable value.
- Serve as the voice of the customer across product development and go-to-market activities.
Cross-Functional Product Development
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to develop and deliver scalable, high-quality sensor and connected products that meet engineering, usability, and performance expectations.
- Partner with R&D, engineering, and software teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and guide execution.
- Facilitate alignment between hardware, firmware, and cloud components for seamless product delivery.
- Ensure products meet reliability, usability, regulatory, and cost targets.
- Support test planning, certification, and integration activities throughout the development cycle.
Lifecycle Management & Commercial Enablement
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to develop and deliver scalable, high-quality sensor and connected products that meet engineering, usability, and performance expectations.
- Partner with R&D, engineering, and software teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and guide execution.
- Facilitate alignment between hardware, firmware, and cloud components for seamless product delivery.
- Ensure products meet reliability, usability, regulatory, and cost targets.
- Support test planning, certification, and integration activities throughout the development cycle.
Technology Leadership, Innovation & Transformation
Act as a strategic thought partner to drive innovation, stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, and help shape the future of our technology business—while supporting executive-level decision-making.
- Serve as the product management lead for the Technology Steering Team, contributing insights, framing decisions, and aligning cross-functional efforts.
- Proactively explore new technologies, trends, and use cases that can unlock customer value or operational advantage.
- Champion innovation and pilot high-potential opportunities that push the boundaries of what’s possible in safety, sensing, and connectivity.
- Drive a forward-thinking product mindset across teams, balancing near-term execution with long-term transformation.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related technical discipline
- This position is available at four different career levels based upon experience:
- Level I: 4 years of experience in marketing, sales or engineering
- Level II: 5 years of experience in marketing, sales or engineering
- Senior: 7 years of experience in marketing, sales or engineering
- MBA or related graduate degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience
