IT Technical Analyst - Military veterans preferred

Job Summary

Reporting to the Infrastructure & User Support Manager, the IT Technical Analyst will undertake a wide range of IT Support tasks that support user-facing technology systems at Symmetry.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Responding to user tickets
• Supporting telecom and video conference systems
• Imaging and deploying computers
• Troubleshooting of network and system issues
• Onboarding new users
• Archiving terminated user data
• User training
• Performance troubleshooting
• Organizing and maintaining IT equipment storage
• Learning new systems and platforms
• Promoting good cyber security hygiene
• Other tasks required to support the IT organization

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Person Characteristics

Great candidates will have a broad knowledge of end-user computing devices, the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office/365, network operations and networking technologies, troubleshooting skills, good communication and teamwork skills, and a passion for excellence. Candidates should be willing to “roll up their sleeves” to support the day-to-day IT operations.

Education/Certification/Experience

• 3+ years of experience in desktop support.
• An associate's degree or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree is required.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, preferred.

Working Conditions

• Able to work indoors, in an office environment, with frequent deskwork, will occasionally need to work with wires under a desk or table and left up to 20 lbs overhead.
• Able to demonstrate manual dexterity to operate a personal computer effectively.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, environment wearing multiple hats and a wide range of responsibilities across the entire technology stack.
• Able to work remotely during emergency or critical operating conditions.
