General Summary:

Helps around the fleet shop to keep operations running smoothly. Assists with minor repairs and keeps inventory organized.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Keep shop and parts room clean, sweep and take trash out, maintaining the shop throughout the day.
  • Chase parts as needed for equipment repairs.
  • Deliver and take equipment to outside vendors for repairs.
  • Keep parts room organized and inventory stocked and put away.
  • Help and assist mechanics with repairs.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related or progressive experience working in a shop environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • CDL license preferred.
  • Proven ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to be a self-starter.

Description of physical working environment:

  • Physically demanding position. Majority of work requires continuous standing and walking in shop. Requires lifting materials up to 75 pounds on a regular basis and frequent twisting, bending and turning.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders and steps in shop/warehouse is required.
