Position Summary

The IT Systems Support Specialist III serves as the technical lead for client systems and desktop infrastructure support, while playing a key role in implementing IT transformation initiatives across the organization. This role supports escalated issues, manages key aspects of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and partners with project stakeholders to deliver IT modernization efforts. The position is based out of the Waséyabek Corporate Office in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Essential Job Functions:

•    Lead the technical implementation of desktop infrastructure improvements during IT transformation initiatives (e.g., M365 security enhancements, automation, device standardization).

•    Serve as escalation point for advanced troubleshooting involving system integrations, SSO issues, endpoint management, and performance degradation.

•    Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or RMM scripting to support improved IT service delivery.

•    Provide subject matter expertise during rollout of new platforms, ensuring systems are deployed and integrated effectively (e.g., new ticketing systems, updated patching processes).

•    Work directly with managed service providers (MSP), partners, and vendors during the planning and execution of technical project workstreams.

•    Track system health, user experience, and endpoint compliance during and after system changes.

•    Support change management communication and assist in training users during deployments.

•    Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and change logs aligned with transformation milestones.

•    Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•    3–5 years of experience in systems support or IT administration and post-secondary training or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

•    Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration.

•    Proven ability to lead or support enterprise-scale IT system rollouts or upgrades.

•    Experience collaborating across teams and departments on complex initiatives.

•    One of the following industry certifications: Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, MCSE), CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, ITIL Intermediate

•    Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

•    Ability to pass an extensive background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC.

•    U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•    Prior knowledge or experience working with a Native American Tribe.

Travel Requirements:
