JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Postal Business Analyst is a key role with upward mobility opportunity. The primary responsibility is to assure accuracy in DHL eCommerce payment systems and postal charges. This role will develop tools/reports and dashboards to track and recover postage overpayments and provide visibility to upper management. Additionally, the role includes creating standardized reporting frameworks and dashboards to facilitate clear communication of performance metrics across the postal team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Integrate and procure all payment data necessary and store in the data lake. Develop tools to monitor DHL payment systems function and accuracy Develop month end reports for financial reporting purposes. Develop tools to Identify, dispute, and recover refunds for over payment and adjustments. Provide technical requirements for manifesting, labeling and related systems to IT Represent postal team on various projects. Support Ad-hoc Analysis on various postal related topic Identify USPS charges related to shipping fraud. Foster a culture of process improvement by promoting best practices, encouraging innovative solutions, and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, systems/data engineering, or related fields required. 7 years of work experience in Business Analysis, Data Engineering, Finance or related fields. Experience in database and reporting design (SQL, Power BI, MS SQL, Databricks). General understanding of financial reporting. Proficiency in MS Excel. Working knowledge in MS PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams. Project Management – Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Manages project team activities. Preferred Experience working with USPS or other small package carriers. Preferred Experience with USPS IV data, EVS/USPS SHIP and EPS payment platform. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Solid analytical skills and strategic thinking with the ability to solve difficult problems and develop creative solutions in complex environments. Ability to take multiple data inputs, be comfortable with large data sets, and synthesize them into easy-to-understand and actionable insights. Strong appetite for data and digital innovation. Excellent problem-solving skills with innovative thinking and a proactive approach. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple technical and non-technical business units with excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong organizational ability to prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple projects and tasks. Self-starter with ability to adapt to rapid changes in the environment. Disciplined to work remotely, demonstrating the ability to maintain productivity and effectiveness in a virtual work environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting. Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift. Travel as required (up to 10%). Annual Salary of $72,525 to $145,000. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
