Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AR Supervisor to lead and support our collections team. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on collection work and requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for developing team performance through clear metrics and consistent coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities of the collections team to ensure timely follow-up and resolution on past-due accounts.
  • Serve as a working supervisor by actively managing a personal portfolio of high-priority or complex accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team productivity, collection effectiveness, and customer engagement.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members; monitor progress and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve collections techniques, negotiation skills, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations in all collection activities.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal departments.
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports on collection performance, aging trends, and areas of concern.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and recovery rates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in collections, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of collections practices, account reconciliation, and credit policies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with collections software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Overtime hours may be required at month end and as requested, controlled climate, office environment, occasional work from home options, required to sit for long periods of time, 8 or more hours per day, frequently required to use monitor, keyboard, mouse and phone
