CNC Operator
Sets up and operates a variety of CNC and conventional machines and related machine shop equipment, including assembly, in support of company activities, as directed
How You Will Help
Interpret drawings and blueprints in order to set up and operate various CNC and conventional machining centers and lathes.
Utilize the proper tooling and select the appropriate speed, feed and depth of cut to optimize machining processes.
Skilled in the use of simple and complicated measuring equipment and methods to ensure work is made to specifications including, but not limited to, height gages, micrometers, calipers, indicators, Go/No Go gages, thread micrometers and gauges, etc.
May be required to operate multiple machines at any given time.
Store all tooling, inserts and additional point-of-use items in an organized manner, in drawers, on work bench etc. with proper labels, color coding, floor marking or other identifying mechanism.
Maintain work area as well as machines, tools, and equipment to meet program requirements.
Use crane, dollies and carts to obtain and return material to and from storage area and move completed job to next operation.
Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the work place.
Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor
What You Will Have
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to use measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, verniers and calipers, and read gauges.
Must be able to be certified to operate a forklift and use hoists to pick up heavy parts.
General computer skills
CMM experience is a plus
Must have 5 years minimum experience practicing G-Code programming and program modification on FANUC controls
MasterCAM experience preferred.
