Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required
* Valid NJ Driver's License required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other security related applications/programs required.
* All certifications listed below are required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.
* Seven years healthcare security experience or comparable related security experience required.
* Knowledge of modern principles or practices and techniques of security and safety management required.
* Active Shooter training experience verified.
* Emergency Management experience / training verified.
* BLS required effective 4/1/2021, existing incumbents with HSAED will be required to renew with BLS prior to the expiration of their current HSAED certification, all new hires effective this same date are required to have BLS within 6 months of hire or transfer
* MHFA & CPI required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer; once obtained required at all time.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Manager works closely with the Corporate Director of Security in the development and implementation of the goals and objectives for the security management plan throughout AtlantiCare organization.

This position assists the Corporate Director of Security in the development of departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures. The Manager also assists in planning, organizing and supervising the activities of the campus Security Department. Further, the Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the security department including staff recruitment, time management, conflict resolution, investigations and EOC compliance. Additionally, the Manager oversees staff onboarding, training, scheduling and payroll. The Manager works with the Corporate Director to assess and ensure the organizations' compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and is a liaison with local law enforcement, fire and emergency response agencies.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver's License required. New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) Certification required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer. BLS required effective 4/1/2021, existing incumbents with HSAED will be required to renew with BLS prior to the expiration of their current HSAED certification, all new hires effective this same date are required to have BLS within 6 months of hire or transfer
FEMA Certification: Incident Command System (ICS) required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.
o ICS 100 - Incident Command Overview
o IS-200c - ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
o ICS 700 - National Incident Management System (NIMS) Overview
o IS 906 - Workplace Security Awareness Training
o IS 907 - Active Shooter Training
o MHFA & CPI required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer; once obtained required at all time.
AtlantiCare Security Department Hazardous Materials Training required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
EXPERIENCE: Seven years healthcare security experience or comparable related security experience required. Knowledge of modern principles or practices and techniques of security and safety management required. Membership with American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and/or International Association of Healthcare and Security Officers (IAHSS) preferred.
Verifiable Emergency Management and Active Shooter training

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position report to Department Leadership and may supervise incumbents' as assigned.
