Summary
The Aircraft Technical Operations Manager evaluates fleet performance on a daily basis and offers recommendations for predictive and preventative maintenance, as well as advanced troubleshooting for Allegiant Air's Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

•Minimum seven (7) years of mechanical experience with medium/large transport aircraft. (A319/320 and 737Next Gen/MAX family aircraft experience preferred.)
•Minimum five (5) years of Technical/Managing Maintenance Programs for medium/large transport aircraft. (A319/320 and 737Next Gen/MAX family aircraft experience preferred.)

•Proficient use and understanding of Airbus and Boeing technical manuals to include AMM, IPC, TSM, FIM, AWM, ASM, and AWL’s.
•Strong ability to troubleshoot complex aircraft systems beyond manufacturers Manuals.
•Diverse experience in all aspects of technical operations and aircraft systems.
•Understanding of statistical reports and analysis.
•Proficiency in written/oral communications, research, and analytical skills.
•Must be familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations.
•Excellent team building and leadership skills.
•Ability to effectively plan for maintenance operational needs to meet short and long-term goals and strategies.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all skill levels, both internal and external to the organization, while demonstrating strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
•Team members may need to work flexible hours and be available for short-notice responses.
•Team member may be required to be on-call for afterhours/weekend coverage.
•Team member may be required to work alone when troubleshooting technical issues.

Job Duties
•Manage all daily aspects of Technical Fleet Management for all aircraft fleet types.
•Develop and implement procedures to assure a safe, legal, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the fleet.
•Coordinate directly with other Technical Fleet Managers, Maintenance Controllers, Materials group, Engineering group, Reliability group, CASS department, and Flight Operations team members.
•Collaborate directly with aircraft manufacturers, component manufacturers, and repair vendors.
•Develop, coordinate, and provide resolutions for immediate, repetitive, and emerging technical issues.
•Participate in industry conferences and workshops.
•Provide resolutions to FAA inquiries.
•Provide resolutions for technical questions from line maintenance personnel, Safety, Reliability, flight operations, etc.
•Review Flight Crew and Cabin Crew incident reports.
•Participate in special projects as required.

•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
•Perform the duties of an Aircraft Technician as required.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
