Overview
Sev1Tech LLC is seeking a dynamic and mission-focused Solutions Architect to provide strategic technical leadership and architecture support across four high-impact divisions: Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), C5ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), and the United States Space Force (USSF). This role is critical in shaping innovative, secure, and compliant technical solutions that meet the evolving needs of national security missions.. Key Responsibilities:
Divisional Support: Serve as a strategic technology partner to four business units, each supporting federal contracts in defense, intelligence, civil, and national security sectors.
Solution Development: Architect compliant, cost-effective, and future-ready solutions for proposals and ongoing programs, including systems integration, cloud migration, and cybersecurity initiatives.
Capture & Proposal Support: Collaborate with Business Development and Capture teams on RFP responses, providing technical solutions, writing proposal content, and contributing to win strategies.
Customer Engagement: Interface with government customers to understand mission needs and translate them into technical solutions aligned with federal frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and federal regulatory requirements, including ITAR, CMMC, and agency-specific guidelines.
Technology Leadership: Evaluate emerging technologies, models, tools, and vendors to support modernization and innovation across programs.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with program managers, engineers, security, and compliance teams to ensure architectural alignment and execution.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
7+ years of experience in IT architecture, solutions engineering, or technical leadership roles, preferably within government contracting
Deep knowledge of federal acquisition processes, mission requirements, and regulatory environments
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud), enterprise integration, and secure systems design
Familiarity with government IT frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, CMMC, RMF)
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple business lines and manage competing priorities
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, CISSP) are a plus
Active or eligible for a U.S. government security clearance
