Peaks Renewables (Peaks) is a fast-growing renewable energy investment and operating platform that develops, owns, and operates renewable natural gas (RNG) and other sustainable infrastructure projects. Our primary focus is on RNG production from agricultural waste, food waste, and landfill waste, as well as on technologies that produce renewable fuels (e.g., hydrogen) and co-products (e.g., CO? liquefaction and sequestration, organic fertilizers, biochar) that advance a low-carbon future. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations and Revenue Analyst. This hybrid role is based out of our Portland, Maine office. 


POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Operations and Revenue Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the development, acquisition, and operation of RNG facilities. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting operational data to inform key business decisions and drive operational and financial optimization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the role will also support budgeting, forecasting, compliance, commercial negotiations, and market analysis.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue, Compliance & Commercial

  • Collaborate with external consultants to prepare and submit applications for renewable fuel pathways.
  • Collect and maintain data required for audits and renewable fuel program compliance.
  • Ensure accurate billing for renewable credit transactions and manage revenue collection.
  • Support RFP responses and offtake negotiations for renewable fuel sales.
  • Maintain relationships with offtake counterparties and monitor contract compliance.
  • Conduct market and policy research related to renewable fuels and carbon credit programs.
  • Provide support for commercial and compliance activities as needed.

Project & Business Operations

  • Maintain and update operational and financial KPI dashboards; communicate insights regularly.
  • Identify and support value creation initiatives across Peaks’ facilities.
  • Implement process improvements across the organization.
  • Support budgeting and operations planning in coordination with facility and finance teams.
  • Assist in rolling out best practices to new facilities added to the portfolio.

Reporting & Communication

  • Develop Excel-based reports and PowerPoint presentations for internal leadership.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and facility teams to stay current on project operations.
  • Communicate project status and needs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, operations, strategy, investment, or a related field.
  • Experience in the energy or renewable energy sector strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with renewable fuels, RNG markets, and associated compliance programs is a plus.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform market analyses and support strategic decision-making.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building management-level presentations in PowerPoint.
